All about Mini 5 Pro

Description

DJI Mini 5 Pro is the most advanced mini drone from DJI ever! This new top-equipped mini drone boasts a range of features designed for beginners, drone enthusiasts, and professional drone photographers alike.

DJI Mini 5 Pro features:

  • Stabilized camera with a 1″ large sensor
  • Nightscape Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing, so the drone avoids obstacles
  • Long flight time (up to 36 minutes)
  • Enhanced ActiveTrack 360, the drone follows you around
  • Smart Return-to-Home, the drone remembers its flight route

The stabilized camera on the Mini 5 Pro is tiltable if you'd like to snap vertical instead of horizontal pictures and can rotate 225°—that's awesome! The camera can record video in 4K, and photos at up to 50 megapixels, that's more than your uncle's DSLR camera.

The latest sensor technology is all around the Mini 5 Pro. It means the drone keeps watch for obstacles, brakes, or avoids them if you happen to miss them—even at night!

Enhanced ActiveTrack 360° means you can set the drone to freely follow you and dodge any obstacles while keeping you centered in the frame.

We've never experienced Follow-me at the level that Mini 5 Pro delivers.

Mini 5 Pro is equipped with O4+, the most stable, reliable, and long-range signal DJI has ever developed.

If you happen to fly too far and lose signal, the drone will fly back home itself via the GPS, which is of course also on the equipment list.

You'll need a smartphone that mounts on the remote controller (unless you buy the fly more combo pack with DJI RC2, then the screen is built into the controller). On your smartphone, install the DJI Fly app. It's advanced but user-friendly.

    Workshop Tips

DJI has created an excellent FAQ here and a bunch of cool videos here.
    Find the manuals here.

The Mini 5 Pro isn't very large, so remember that it's windier at 40 meters altitude than you might expect. You'll get notified directly in the app if the wind at your flight altitude is too strong. DJI states that the drone can fly in winds up to 12 m/s.

    Flight Requirements

The DJI Mini 5 Pro is C0 marked.
This means you don't need a certificate. However, there are still some regulations you must follow.

You can read all the rules here: droneregler.dk

In addition, you must register as a drone operator, if the drone has a camera.
